Legal and Democratic Services Operations Manager

Legal and Democratic services plays a critical role, central to all that we do. We are innovative and commercially focused, with a group of trading companies helping us to deliver our medium-term financial plan, new homes and a stronger commercial property portfolio. You will have involvement with all of this, leading and managing a talented and committed team of lawyers and committee clerks as well as the Mayor’s office, information governance and land charges teams ensuring that everything we do is supported by sound legal advice and good decision making.

Sport and Leisure Operations Manager

The Role

We want someone special to lead and manage our key Sports and Leisure service, developing opportunities to attract more customers to the biggest range of sport and fitness facilities in Suffolk.

You will oversee three sports centres, two swimming pool complexes and four gyms used by people from Ipswich and the surrounding area. The Council offer also includes a stand-alone sports pavilion, a wide range of fitness classes and community activities designed to meet its health and wellbeing agenda.

Waste and Fleet Operations Manager

The Role

We are looking for someone to lead and manage a large and vital operational area, reporting directly to the Head of Culture and Environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation of cleansing, recycling and waste collection in addition to having responsibility for a strong trade waste service.
